What about the “Big Brother” concern that my kids may have? Will they think I’m spying on them?
As parents of teen drivers ourselves, we are less concerned about “Big Brother” than we are about “Good Parent”. Plus, we also remember how we drove when we were out on our own with friends in the car! The scariest day in a parent’s life is when our son or daughter ventures out with the car, on their own for the very first time. We owe it to our children to let them know that we are still connected to them and it is in their best interest to drive just as cautiously as they did during the training phase of their drivers-education. Keeping them safe is a bigger priority to us, as parents, than worrying about their concerns with privacy.
